Read this introduction then follow the links at the left
hand menu. Garden Parties are smaller selection packs suitable for medium and
large gardens. Display Packs are packs of larger fireworks suitable for large
garden parties and organized displays. Other Packs are packs of specific
fireworks such as rockets, cakes etc that can be used to supplement a display or
to build your own display from. You can order on line using our secure
server.

ORDERING INFORMATION
USA customers try ACME FIREWORKS
Please note that we cannot export our fireworks outside the United Kingdom mainland due to explosives regulations.
We now have a secure server so you can now order on
line using your credit card. Simply click on the

button to go to the shopping cart. Here you can view
your order to date. You can delete any item or alter quantities here. You will
not be billed for anything until you enter the payment section and give your
credit card details. Please note that unlike some companies we do not build a
shipping charge into the price of each pack. Instead there is a single £18
carriage contribution regardless of how many packs you order. This way you
pay shipping once, not on every pack. If you are lucky enough to
live in sunny Gloucestershire, then the delivery charge is waived. Please try to allow us a reasonable
time for us to process your order, 7 days for October to December

WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET
We clearly list the fireworks in our packs and provide photographs of our fireworks so you can see for yourself the value we offer! (Sandling Fireworks reserve the right to substitute any firework with items of the same or greater value). All fireworks comply with British Standard BS7114 Part 2: 1988.
WHAT TO CHOOSE
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase fireworks.
From the packs offered in our catalogue it is possible to put together a display for any occasion. The packs are arranged in three sections. Garden Parties contain fireworks suitable for a large garden or small display. Display Packs contain larger more spectacular fireworks. Special Packs contain packs of specific fireworks such as rockets and candles that you can use to put your own display together. They can also be used to supplement the Garden or Display packs. Most packs are designed to last 20-25 minutes depending on the speed of firing. Special packs last just a few minutes each. Each pack is supplied with FULL INSTRUCTIONS regarding safety requirements to ensure that your display is a happy, safe event for all to enjoy.
When comparing prices, do not confuse quantity with quality. Larger packs contain larger fireworks. If you require more fireworks for your money simply order two smaller packs or increase the quantity by adding further special packs. SOMETHING SPECIAL? We can make lancework (fire writing) to suit your needs. Company logos, names or messages in fireworks are all possible. A great surprise for a birthday or anniversary!
WHEN CAN FIREWORKS BE USED?
Fireworks can be used on any occasion but please be considerate. For garden packs it is a courtesy to notify neighbours of your event and it can be a good idea to inform your local police. Avoid causing disturbance to hospitals, old peoples homes, animal shelters etc. and avoid using fireworks late at night. It is now legal requirement that fireworks may not be used after 11pm except for New Years, Divali and November 5th. For larger displays the police should be notified - they merely need to know. For public events the fire brigade and police should be notified. Nearby airports or coast guards should be warned where appropriate.

OPERATOR FIRED DISPLAYS
Of course you may wish to leave it all to us and have an operator-fired display. Each display is specially designed for you to add glitter, excitement and panache to any event, be it a wedding, anniversary, birthday, company launch, fund raising or community gathering. The display will include many professional display fireworks items not available to the general public. GLOSSARY OF FIREWORKS

FOUNTAIN: A ground effect firework which produces a spray of sparks or other effects into the air. Chinese fountains tend to be quite novel. Larger fountains are often called GERBS. Some fountains are conic in shape which has the effect of a steadily increasing volume of sparks and noise. These are called CONES or VOLCANOES.
BOX FOUNTAIN: As above but in this case one or more fountains are placed in a box, usually to make the firework look bigger than it actually is. Often used to bulk out shop goods selection packs.
ROMAN CANDLE: Traditional multi-shot firework. Consists of a tube which fires a series of coloured stars or noise effects high into the air.
BOMBETTE CANDLES fire shells into the sky which
explode into starbursts.
BARRAGES OF 30MM CANDLES consist of four large 28-30mm fused together. The
COMETS produce stars with long trailing tails and the BOMBETTES fire shells
into the air which explode into starbursts.
CANDLE BATTERIES usually contain four roman candles fused together.
CANDLE BOMBARDMENTS contain seven candles fused together.
CANDLE BOUQUETS consists of roman candles strapped to a wooden frame in a fan shape.
CAKES are fireworks which are made up of a number of different tubes fused together sometimes in the shape of a cake. The tubes usual contain all sorts of different colours and effects making them very popular items.
DISPLAY CAKES are larger versions of the above that can be used to supplement larger displays or as a stand alone display where a short sharp spectacular display is needed.
SINGLE IGNITION DISPLAYS Are a combination of fireworks fused together in one box. Light one fuse and enjoy a complete display!
MINES: These fireworks consist of a MINE pre-loaded
into a cardboard MORTAR TUBE. The mine explodes from the ground and sends
a large number of coloured stars and/or noise effects high into the air.
FOUNTAIN MINES have a silver fountain delay before the mine erupts. DOUBLE
BREAK MINES erupt once, then screech and then erupt a second time. DISPLAY
MINES are much larger more powerful mines suitable for larger public
displays.
Although mines are short and sharp the effect can be quite startling and
usually draws a gasp from the crowd!
ROCKETS: Traditional and
much loved fireworks produce the familiar WHOOOOSH! when fired from a FRAME
or LAUNCH TUBE. Many types are included in our display packs. Generally the
larger the pack the larger the rockets in it. Some rockets may whistle or
shriek as they ascend. Some produce coloured bouquets or effects such as
SPINNERS, CRACKERS, WHISTLES etc. SHELLBURST or STARBURST rockets burst like
a shell and have a wide dispersion of stars to fill the sky. Many
of our shellburst rockets now have an increased payload for an even more
spectacular effect.
SHELLS: Probably the most spectacular of all fireworks but now banned for sale to the general public. Shells are fireworks which are fired from a MORTAR TUBE buried in the ground. A gunpowder charge fires the shell from the tube to a great height when it then explodes into a sphere of stars. If you require shells then please enquire about our OPERATOR FIRED SERVICE
WHEELS AND SETPIECES: Wheels are spinning fireworks usually consisting of several DRIVER FOUNTAINS and effects attached to a frame. Some wheels may have two or three BREAKS which make a series of different effects. SETPIECES are similar in construction to WHEELS but do not rotate. They usually consist of a static bouquet of various FOUNTAINS. A fence post or similar is all that is necessary for smaller packs but larger devices in our DISPLAY PACKS need a sturdy post at least three metres high. For ease of firing a post for each device should be erected prior to the display. Alternatively one person can be designated solely to take down and put up these fireworks while someone else fires the rest of the display. Advise and tips on how to erect these devices easily are included in the pack instructions.
PORTFIRES and SAFETY LIGHTERS: Portfires are slow burning hand-held fireworks used to light other larger fireworks. Burning time is about five minutes. Sufficient numbers are included with each pack but extra portfires are available. SAFETY LIGHTERS are glowing pieces of wick and are used to light smaller fireworks.
Even if you do not buy our fireworks, please buy from a reputable company or you could end up with these!
